EXCURSION 01

GALLE CITY + CINNAMON PLANTATION (Full Day)

Visit a Cinnamon Plantation to witness the harvesting process en route to Galle. Galle is the south coast's major city, whose oldest landmark is the massive 17th century Portuguese and Dutch Fort in which the central city is located. The journey to Galle is along the palm-fringed beaches passing the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda. Four of the Five endangered species of sea turtles lay their eggs in sandy beaches of Sri Lanka. Most vulnerable of all are their eggs, which are left uncovered on beaches all around the coast. The hatchery is hatching the eggs and release young turtles to the sea.

BOAT RIDE IN MADHU RIVER (Half Day)

Leave to enjoy a boat ride in the Madhu River. Glide on the waters of the river on a fascinating ride experiencing the unique Mangrove Ecosystem& discovering small islands spread along.

ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE, PINNAWELA (Full Day)

The Orphanage was established to feed, nurse and house young elephants abandoned by their mothers, displaced from their natural habitats by development projects.

KANDY CITY + ELEPHANT ORPHANAGE, PINNAWELA (Full Day)

A beautiful historical city in the last citadel of the country. It is not only known for it's great kings who ruled the city for almost 225 years independently until the British took over in 1815, but it is also the place where the Sacred Tooth of Lord Buddha is laid in a magnificent temple, The Temple of the Tooth Relic.

The Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela was established to feed, nurse and to house young elephants abandoned by their mothers, displaced from their natural environment by development projects.
